6.7 Wagering Agreement

Meaning: a promise to give-or-pay on the event's outcome — mutual promises each staked on his own prediction of an uncertain event, with the parties' only interest the winning-and- losing itself (the essential character: no real interest in the event beyond the bet). Void: the wagering agreement is void under the Code's void-agreement list (the gambling bar; the Betting-and-Gaming legislation's criminal face as the parallel).
