2.3 Straits, Bays and Gulf

The straits: the international straits' transit regime (UNCLOS's answer: the TRANSIT PASSAGE — the passage-and-overflight's freedom through the straits used for international navigation between one EEZ/high-seas area and another; the corridor's respect; the passage not suspendable — the innocent passage's contrast); the straits' examples (the Hormuz, the Malacca, the Gibraltar); the straits without the transit regime (the high-seas-route alternatives; the border straits' special faces). The bays: the juridical bay (2.2's test: the bay's mouth not exceeding 24 miles — the straight closing line; the waters inside internal); the historic bays (the title by usage — the international recognition's requirement). The gulfs: the same closing-line logic at the larger scale (the gulf's mouth measurement; the states' agreement faces — the single-state gulfs internal; the multi-state gulfs' delimitation).
