1. Follow up within 24–48 hours — a short, specific message: "Namaste, this is [name] — we spoke at [event] about [topic]. Thank you for the advice on internships. As you suggested, I will write to [referral]." (see 5.3 email format) 2. Keep a contact log (name, met-where, interests, follow-up date) and give before you take — share the article you promised; connect two contacts; then, when you need counsel, the network exists.
