4.7 Other Ordinary Procedure in Supreme Court

4.7.1 Application for Revision The revision — the SC's statutory supervision over subordinate courts where no appeal lies: errors of law apparent on the record, jurisdictional excess, the illegality's face — by application (the code's revision discipline); the court's options: examine, call the record, confirm/correct/set aside — legality's patrol without merits' re-trial (Unit 1.5.1(d)). 4.7.2 Application for Review The review of the SC's own decisions (Art 133's jurisdiction list; heard by a different bench): the narrow gates — error apparent on the face of the record, the discovery of new matters, or any other sufficient reason in the interest of justice; by application within the rules' time; the coram's care (the bench that reviews is not the bench that decided). Review is exceptional — it protects the Court from its own manifest slips, not the parties from adverse results.
