7.4 Nepal Standard and Quality Office Relating to National Standard Mark (NS- Mark)

The Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology (the standards' office) administers the NS mark — the national standard's certification mark for products. The functions: the product standards' setting; the certification-and-licensing of the NS-mark use; the quality surveillance and the market inspection; and the standards' enforcement (the substandard goods' actions). The IP interface: the NS mark is a certification mark in effect (the quality's seal of the state, kin to the collective marks of U4.3) — and the standards' world supports the trademark-and-GI regimes (the quality's infrastructure that the marks and GIs promise).
