2 Types of Partition

1. By the subject: partition of land (the kitta subdivisions), of movables (the household division), of the family business, of debts and dues (the assets-and-liabilities schedule);2. By the family event: partition during life (the joint family's division among coparceners and parents — the jeevit bhaag), on separation/divorce (the matrimonial property's division), on death (the estate partition among heirs — Unit 7's sequence);3. By the method:mutual/deed partition (the family's agreement registered) vs. judicialpartition (the court's decree) — and within the judicial, the amicable-through-court (the parties' terms merely certified);4. Total vs. partial (the whole estate divided, or one property severed while the family continues joint as to the rest);5. First partition vs. re-partition (the prior partition's challenge and re-opening — the purvaja-attack litigation).
