2 Conditions of Adoption

The Code 2074's and the Children's Act's design (by principle):1. Adopter's capacity: minimum age; the age-gap between adopter and adoptee (the Code's protective arithmetic); the adopter's childlessness-or-defined-family-status (the adoption of a child when one has none of the relevant status; the one-child-adoption norms); marriedadopters: the spouse's consent (joint adoption or the spouse's concurrence);2. Adoptee's eligibility: a minor below the statutory ceiling; the orphan/abandoned/consent- given child; the birth parents' (or guardian's) consent — free, informed, and revocable within the statutory window; the child's own consent above the statutory age ofdiscretion;3. Prohibitions: no adoption for immoral-or-exploitative purposes (the trafficking-and-labour bar — the HTT Act 2064's shadow, Criminal Law-II); no adoption within prohibited degrees' confusion-and-rights manipulations; the frequency-and-duplicate-adoption bars.
