1.3 The Evaluation Scheme (the Marks' Map)

यो उत्तर युनिट १ मा छ — पूरै निःशुल्क।

The 30/70 division: the viva-voce (interview) = 30% = 15 marks — conducted by a three- member committee appointed by the campus (experts with at least five years' experience in the legal field, eligible for teaching and research); the final (external) evaluation = 70% = 35 marks — the report evaluated by the subject's expert, based on the level of creativity and originality. The pass discipline (the exam's precision): the pass mark is 35% in each examination separately — i.e., 35% of 15 (5.25 → in practice the rounded threshold) in the viva AND 35% of 35 (12.25) in the external evaluation — the candidate must pass BOTH separately (the "overall pass" does not suffice: the two-gate rule). The scheme's lesson: the seminar rewards the process (the supervisor's documented supervision, the consultations, the presentation) AND the product (the expert-judged originality) — the marks map the whole journey, and the external evaluation's criteria (creativity and originality) tell the student where the 35 marks' centre of gravity lies. Exam Focus Long questions: (i) The seminar's framework (the seven requirements in order — the banker); (ii) The evaluation scheme (the 15/35 split, the two-gate pass rule, the committee's composition). Short questions: the supervisor's eligibility; the fifteen-day rule; the recommendation's four criteria. Trick areas: (i) The VIVA is 30% (15 marks); the EXTERNAL evaluation 70% (35) — the reversal error; (ii) The pass must be secured SEPARATELY in both (35% each) — the aggregate-pass error; (iii) The viva committee is appointed BY THE CAMPUS (three members, 5+ years' experience) — the external evaluator is the SUBJECT EXPERT (a different person's role); (iv) The topic must relate to the 3-YEAR LL.B. COURSE SYLLABUS (the approved boundary — any-topic latitude is the error).
