5.2 Role of Judgement Execution Directorate

The Judgment Execution Directorate (with the execution offices serving the courts — the professionalised enforcement wing of the judiciary's administration): its logic — the judge adjudicates, the officer executes (the separation that keeps the bench out of the sale-yard's controversies and speeds the docket). Functions: execution applications' processing; debtors' property's identification, attachment and auction; possession's delivery; payment-collection and distribution to decree-holders; coordination with the land-revenue offices (registration transfers), prisons (criminal execution), banks (account attachment), and the local administration; the auction discipline (notice, valuation, the multi-attempt sale — the fairness jurisprudence of the banking cases, Law of Contract-II, Unit 1, this semester); and reporting (the execution statistics' institutional conscience). The officer acts under the court's orders — the officer's excesses have the court's corrective (5.5).
