7.2.1 Electricity Act 1992 (2049)The sector's foundational statute: licensing of survey, generation, transmission, and distribution; royalties for generation licences; the framework within which independent power producers entered (breaking the single-buyer monoculture); customs and income-tax facilities for licencees; and the Act's long-standing amendment debates (the electricity bill discussions of recent years) as the sector's reform frontier.7.2.2 Nepal Electricity Authority Act 1984 (2041)The Act that created the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) — the integrated utility (generation, transmission, distribution) of the monopoly era.
