6.4 Juvenile Correction

The correctional arm: the child reform/correction homes (from the Kathmandu institution to the regional network's slow build — the s.42(1) duty of the 2048 Act, the 2075 Act's continuation); the regime's discipline (the JDL face): the education-and-vocational training, the counselling-and- health services, the recreation-and-family-contact, the discipline's bars (no corporal, no solitary); the classification-and-separation (age, sex, offence); the release-and-aftercare (the reintegration planning from admission; the follow-up supervision); and the chronic gaps (the homes' capacity-and-quality, the aftercare's thinness, the correction-home detention's duration disputes — the Choilang Lama line).
