Far-Western University was established in 2010 by an Act of Parliament as a government-funded national university, with its central office at Bhimdatta Municipality, Kanchanpur. It serves the nine districts of the Far-Western region. Its Faculty of Law runs the five-year, ten-semester BALLB comprising 207 credit hours.
